So my mom came home with my brother, Edd, last night, and HOLY COW he's LITTLE. He's a whole 4 pounds to my 64. Mom said not to be fooled though, because he's actually OLDER than me (only by 4 months though). When I asked her why I'm just now meeting my brother if he's as old as me, she explained to me that we adopted him because he was all alone and didn't have any other humans or dog brothers to live with.
And you know what else? When he's around, I can't help myself. I just act so silly. I find that I'm rolling over onto my back a lot more because I want him to know that I'm not scary. When I do this, he climbs up onto my belly, and it tickles, so I roll him off. And when he's walking away from me, I get down reeeeeeeeally close to the floor and I scoot along behind him. He sleeps a lot though, and I'm not sure if he's scared or confused, so I've been laying down beside his bed while he's sleeping just so that, when he wakes up, he'll see me and remember that his kid Bro is finally with him. I hope he knows that I'll NEVER leave him now that I found him. I get LOTS of pets from mom when I do this and she tells me she's "proud" of me (I don't know what this means ... we didn't get to that lesson yet in school).
And about Mom, she doesn't waste any time with the nicknames ... Eddie Spaghetti? BubberNut? Egg? I can only imagine there will be more.
I gotta say I was a little skeptical about this brother thing, but now that he's here, I see what I've been missing.
Bones 'n wags,
Sepper
