Oh no Sassy! We sure hope you are feeling better today, but may I suggest you fake it just so you can get some chicken and rice for a few days. That sounds pretty tasty! Not tasty enough for you to be sick though. POP!!

Mom has seen some disposable booties. They looked rubbery - almost like little balloons. Hehe. Is that what you are talking about Sassy?

Mom is determined that they are not even giving Cheeky the pre-meds that they did last year until she and the vet have talked. She has a lot of questions, and I think both she and the vet want to make sure this year goes better. Last year he had commented a time or two that it may be Cheeky can't tolerate everything. The bad thing is we don't really know which (if any) set her off. Mom has already requested the one vet that ended up figuring out how to settle everything down and seems to best know Cheeky's history. He is also aware we like to get out and do things with the local meet up group, and knows Mom wants Cheeky protected. So lots to talk about. That will be Thursday. So we'll let you know how it goes.

Well, Pip, sounds like you guys had a busy and fun weekend. Oh, YUCK on the VET. We sure do hope everyone does OK. Cheeky's mom...don't you let the VET touch her till they guarantee that she is not going to be sick and have icky stuff. Promise, promise....

Dutchess, sounds like whatever was around that tree must have been really exciting, it's a shame you didn't get to see what it was that left such and exciting scent. Hope you guys left peemail for it.

We sure hope the doggy you met gets a good home like we have. We'll say a prayer for her/him.

I have never worn shoes. Mom has talked about it but never gotten me any. They do have rain boots and they have "pugs" too. They look just like Ugs for people but they are for us. Too cute, mom wanted some so bad for me, but talked herself out of it. I bet it we had gotten a good snow I would have got them. Cheeky, there are some that are made for summer. They are almost like latex gloves, kinda rubbery and thin but have soles on the bottom so the pavement doesn't hurt our feet. We'll have to look for them again.

We didn't do anything exciting this weekend. Went out and ran around the yard a bit today. It was pretty out but still a little chilly.

I have a belly ache today. I didn't want my dinner and didn't even want my frosty paws this evening. Mom's a little worried about me. She'll see how I do at breakfast and if I don't eat a little then I guess I'll be getting boiled chicken and rice for a few days. Hate being sick but the chicken and rice is pretty good. I just hope better by morning.

Not much to add today, but I will say - I LOVE naps in the sun on the sun porch on a warm day. Doesn't get much better than that!

There was something in the park today. Don't know what it was but I could smell it by this one tree. I was really trying to dig around the tree and get it. Boy did it smell good!! I wanted it whatever it was. I mean really, really wanted it. Mom was a bit scared and didn't know what I might find. Wish she would have let me stay there longer until I found something. She did let me look for a while, and Pip came to help me look. I know something was there!! Spent a lot of the walk with my nose to the ground today. That was even before that great smell by that tree. Mom is sure if we had a game where you had to sniff things out I would be great at it.

Comemere I think you would look very cute in a rain coat and rain boots. Don't think I have seen rain boots for pups. I have tried on shoes but didn't like them much. Mom keeps talking about some for us to walk in. Both Pip and I seem to keep coming home from walks with scrapes and things on our little feets. Might be a good idea, but I don't think I like it. Sassy, I'm trying to remember, have you ever worn shoes? Mom also keeps saying things about hot pavement this summer and protecting our feet.

One family that has been to the meet up walks lately walks their three dogs (or two dogs and one neighbor dog) for part of the walk then lets them ride in a stroller for the second part of the walk. Maybe if the pavement is too hot I need a stroller. I think I would like that better than shoes. What do you think?

We got in an extra walk with the group this week. Cheeky and I got to go walk with them Friday. This was another new park for us. Love getting to go places I haven't smelled before. This one had a pond and you could hear all kinds of frogs and things. Didn't see any, but you could hear them. When we go with the group we get in a long walk ... usually around two hours. Wish we could do that every day.

Today Dutchess and I got to walk in the local park. As we were almost back home we ran into a neighbor who was walking a dog. We didn't get all the details but sounded like someone may have moved off and left this dog. She is a little bigger than me, very calm and sweet, and looks like she has been spayed. We're hoping she can find a good home ... one that will keep her forever.

Coming up later this week Cheeky, Pixie and Sweetpea get to go to the V E T. Shh. Don't tell them. Cheeky and Sweetpea are due for their annual check up and Pixie is due for Bordetella. Mom also wants the vet to look at a spot on Pixie's nose. Mom is a little nervous about taking Cheeky. Vaccinations last year may have been what helped set everything off last year - resulting in three months of weekly vet visits for Cheeky. We REALLY don't want her to be sick like that again!! Mom is just dreading it. So everyone please keep your paws crossed that it doesn't cause any problems this year.

we got another 1 inch of from friday till last night and even had thunderboomers which we didnt like at all.of course we need the rain i just wish that the thunderboomers could stay away and just let it rain.i thought oh making a rain coat with hat in hot pink and purple with boots to match.

TEEHEE, yes our weather is rather cranky and my mom says she can relate. Today is 70 something and a little windy.

Oh, Pippi, you didn't get to go. What's up with that. Yes you are the "First Dog" and you should go everywhere, every time. Although I bet it was nice having just you and cheeky at home again, having the house and the toys all to yourself. You didn't try any of you gate climbing, did you?

Cheeky, you should have gone down the stairs. I just can't picture you not being lady like but I do understand about having to make your point once in a while. Oh, wow, and your mom too...you must have been serious :P

Angelina, girl, they need to learn that when you are speaking they should be paying attention. You might mention to your mom that you were being very social and everyone else was not listening so maybe they need the training, hmmmmm???

Dutchess, I guess Cheeky forgave you for walking without her. After all it was probably mom's fault anyway. Hopefully she can go with you next time. Oh and she's a little slower so maybe you can check out more "grass" and leave lots more peemail.

UUMM, OK, well, we have n o t h i n g going on here. so nothing exciting to tell you at all. Maybe things will get a little more interesting with the nice weather coming though.

sassy, that is a good idea and iam having momma make a special deal for the photos of my adventures so its easier for us to place them with the writting.

I enjoyed the walk, too, but I do wish Mom would have slowed down and let me sniff EVERY blade of grass. Hehe. I'm kind of liking these group walks. I will say it is a MUCH quieter walk with Pippi than it is with Pixie. Maybe just Cheeky and I will get to do a walk soon.

After we got back we were sitting on the sun porch soaking up a little sun. Cheeky was on the top of the back cushions on the couch out there and I was sitting on the sit. Next thing I know Cheeky is leaning down sniffing me. It was good. I didn't mind at all. I even got to sniff back a little.

Tink, we really would like to see you back here at Petentials, but there is a little part of me that hopes it's a while if we are getting extra treats until you show up. Hehe.

I enjoyed the walk today and even ran a couple of times with Mom and Dutchess. I started off trying to get the whole group in line. They were not listening to all the orders I was barking out. Mom said something about me needing a LOT more socialization. Frankly if they would all learn to listen better and not talk back we could have had things settled faster. Just saying.

I forgave Mom pretty quickly for not taking me on a walk. She tried to tell me I COULD have gone if I would have come down stairs. Hmph. When they got back I danced around Pixie and then told her to talk to my tail a few times. Mom told me that was not very nice or lady like. And to that I say ... talk to my tail. Hehe.

Sassy, we forgot all about the questions, too. And we wrote them!! BOL! Let's see, I am going to look for leprechauns in this one spot by a wooded area in the local park. I KNOW there is something interesting in there and maybe it's them! Now, let me think. If one gave me a pot of gold I think I would have the yard fenced AND I would get me some squeaker toys that I didn't have to share with someone that eats them. Hehe.

Oh and Sassy, Mom says your weather sounds post menopausal. Hehe. We had a pretty nice day here today. Was sunny and not too cold. Yesterday was sunny, but the wind made it a little chilly. Not today. We were outside naked. Woo-hoo.

Cheeky and I are trying to decide if we are mad at Mom and the others or not. Mom, Pixie and Dutchess got to go to the meet up group walk this time. Now I know I had a turn last time, but so did Dutchess. I think as the first dog in this house I should be the first to get to go on meet ups.

Comemere, just write everything you can remember then you can put it in order. Kind of like a brainstorming session. Just through everything out there and then the time line will come.

We had interesting weather yesterday, snow in the morning, then rain, then sunshine, then snow in the afternoon, then sun again, then just plain COLD. We, ahh mom and dad, always said if you don't like the weather here just wait a minute and it will change. Been gone for 2o some years and it's still the same.

Pippi ??? "Sleep all night long without interruption", what exactly is THAT. Not sure we have ever known that in our house. I'm thinking it sounds interesting,if you ever get to do itlet us know what it was like.

OK Dutchess, first I like your birthday treats idea 'cause between all of us we would be having treats pretty much everyday most of the year. That would be perfect!! Now, my mommy is rolling on the floor thinking of your squeakerectomies. Seams, what seams, there are seams, your mommy is so silly some times. My mom says you should have grown out of that by now, hhmmppff, they are both pretty silly if you ask me. It is very good for us to work our little brains and destuffing and desqueaking is very educational. How hard we have to think to make it all go right. and then they sew them all back together into frankentoys and then we have to go back and make sure we got everything out. Sounds like you should be and honor student by now.

Oh, BTW we apparently don't pay attention....the likely place for the leprechaun would be at the end of a rainbow. We don't have many of them here so I'm going to look in our basement. There should be one hiding down there somewhere. And I would treat myself to a new RV so mom and dad could take us visiting people again. Sorry we didn't answer sooner. Got distracted by the picture and, yes, those overall's sure are cute.

Happy Birthday Tink! How old are you this year? I'm kind of thinking we should get extra treats for a week for each year old you are. That would mean on my next birthday we get extra treats for 9 weeks. I'm sure that is the way it's supposed to be done.

It's official. I am a toy destuffer and desqueaker. I preform a squeakerectomy every chance I get and today I got hold of one of those toys that is a squeaker mat. What fun to get get 10 out 12 squeakers out of it - or something like that. I'd like to find another one of those. Mom has asked if I couldn't be more like Pip and if I am going to take toys apart do so on a seam. I think that takes too long, so I just bite holes in them. Sometimes lots of holes. Maybe I should go to destuffers/desqueakers anonymous. Hehe.

Extra treats for a week? Woo-hoo! Happy Birthday Tink. I'm pretty sure you should have another birthday in about a week so we get another week of treats. Just saying. Back me up everyone.

Welllll, one birthday this month and we're late. Pooh. Tink, sorry about that. We hope you have had a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope you were spoiled rotten all day. Frankly we think everyone here should be spoiled rotten all day every day, but even more so on your birthday. Hehe.

Comemere we think you should include photos, too. If you are writing in Microsoft Word or similar program maybe you can put photos in as you go. Might be easier than trying to match them up to the right place later on down the road. I can't wait to see it either!

Sassy, we were trying to put everyone in the header picture. We had grabbed a picture of you from dogster, but every time Mom tried to get rid of the background it got rid of half of you as well. The colors were too similar. We need to find good ones of you, Denali and Comemere on plain backgrounds that are very different colors from you. Hehe. We just thought that would be fun.

We had a few snowflakes yesterday!! Our weather can't make up it's mind. It had been spring weather and things were blooming. Then cooler again. I expect it will warm back up quickly, but I hope not too quickly. It was almost too warm for our walk last week. We need the temps to ease up slowly so we can get used to it. Especially Mom, but don't tell her I said so. Hehe.

We spent a couple of nights at Grandma's just the other day and I have to say, none of us heard Patches making a lot of noise and talking to everything during the wee hours of the morning. It was kind of nice. But once we got back home she started right up again. Ugh. Boy how nice it would be to get to sleep all night long without interruption.

We found Comemere on dogster. Yay. And we had previously found Sassy on dogster, too. Tink and Bug are on there as well. Speaking of Tink and Bug ... okay I think your mom may be on a trip but when she gets back ... COME BACK you two! We miss you here.

For our bath this time Mom found a little plastic tub that she put in the bath tub. It worked out pretty well I guess. Sometimes she just sprays us in the tub. Think I like standing in water better. Of course we still got sprayed some. I escaped once. Hehe.

Comemer, I agree with Sassy. Just start writing. I'm sure others would love hearing about all the places you get to go and the things you get to see just like we do. Mom says she enjoys seeing the world through the eyes of a dog. Let's see. Hmm. A name for your book. We'll have to give that some thought. Could be a lot of fun coming up with a title. Hehe. You could have a play on your name and call it "Come Here With Comemere". Hehe.

Denali ... shots?!! Ouch. Mom needs to make an appt. for Cheeky. Time for her yearly check up and shots. Mom is dreading it given all the problems last year. We really don't know for sure what set everything off, but it's quite possible that vaccinations may have had something to do with it. So Mom says she is having a good talk with the vet before they do anything.

Denali, we should find a good spot for everyone to meet up. I'll run with you and I'll bet Dutchess will, too. Pixie will some, but mostly to run after us to fuss at us for running. BOL! Comemere, tell your mom that you can't call them zoomies if you slow down. Hehe. I'm sure it's a rule zoomies have to be fast.

Dutchess and I got to go for a walk with the meet up group the other day. I think we went 3 miles or a little more. There was a nice size group that went, and we even met a lady and her dog along the way. I think she is going to join the group. Most of the dogs this time were small, and all but Dutchess, one other dog and me were either white or cream in color. Mom joked that she should have brought Cheeky and Pixie because they would have been the right color. Hehe. I think that would would have been too long for them though.

That was the good news. The bad news ... we had some yucky weather yesterday evening. We even headed to the basement at one point - there were tornado warnings for two tornadoes. I don't really like the weather radio. It's loud. I don't like the thunder either. And it turns out I don't like the basement at our house. Mom is right. It's creepy and dark down there. All in all not a good evening with all that weather. Luckily no damage to our house. Was glad for a nice, sunny day today, but I think they are calling for more bad weather tomorrow. Ugh.

I'm passing along a quick message from Cheeky tonight. She said to tell everyone thank you for the gotcha day wishes. We have not really celebrated yet. So we still have that to look forward to. Woo hoo!
